KNOW WHAT YOU’RE CHOOSING
What’s covered—and what to check.
Pet insurance is a way to plan for eligible veterinary costs. The actual policy, not this overview, determines what’s covered.
Accidents and illnesses
Fetch describes coverage for eligible unexpected injuries and illnesses, diagnostic testing, sick-visit exam fees, and treatments. Eligible dental injuries and diseases may also be covered. Terms, exclusions and limits apply.
The four numbers to compare
- Premium: what you pay for the policy.
- Deductible: what you must pay toward eligible costs before reimbursement applies.
- Reimbursement percentage: the share of eligible expenses the policy reimburses after the deductible.
- Annual limit: the most the policy will pay during a policy year.
Know the exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are generally excluded. Waiting periods apply. Standard accident and illness insurance does not include routine preventive care such as vaccinations and annual wellness exams; optional wellness products have separate terms.
For San Antonio and DFW pet owners
Your pet’s age, breed and ZIP code can affect your quote. Before enrolling, think about your household budget for an unexpected bill and check how claims and reimbursement work with your veterinarian.
